Hydrangea Cottage
5 person
This bright and cheerful detached single storey stone cottage is tucked away on the east side of the courtyard with views south over the semi-formal gardens and west through the courtyard. There is a large open plan living/kitchen area with dishwasher, and a spacious dining table. There are three bedrooms: one with king sized bed; one with bunk beds and one with a single bed. The bathroom has a bath, shower (over the bath), sink and toilet. There is a small seating area outside where you can sit out and enjoy the sunshine.
You also have access to the wonderful 6 acres of gardens, which has a whole variety of different plants and trees to admire. Don’t miss seeing the Bonawe Iron Furnace, just a couple of minutes away, where you can find out how cannonballs and pig iron were made.
You can order groceries in advance of your arrival, or you can visit the local village of Taynuilt to pick them up yourself. If you’re tired from all of the walking and exploring, you could visit the reception and select some DVDs from the 300-strong selection, or choose a board game to keep everyone entertained. Also at the reception, you’ll find plenty of guides and books for the local area.
