During the summer months, it is a very popular sea fishing spot amongst locals with Mackerel being the prize catch and is regarded as one of the best shore marks near to Oban. A few hundred yards off Dunollie Point lies Maiden Isle, where you will find Pollack and Wrasse, as well as Dogfish and Spurdog.

Sea Fishing

If you want to take to the open water you can hire a boat from Taynuilt Boat Hire.

There are plenty of companies offering the whole range of sea fishing from family fun days mackerel fishing to big game fishing for Manta rays on the Atlantic shelf off Mull. One of our guests caught a Manta weighing over 200lbs.
