Bonawe House is not registered for disabled people but we do have 4 ground floor cottages, three with no steps in them and one with one step. It is possible to get cars right up to the front doors of those cottages, although the ground is covered in gravel. Please contact us if you are interested in staying but not sure whether the cottages will work for you.
Rose and Clematis Cottages sleep up to 2 people each and are all on one level with just a step to get into the property.
Hydrangea Cottage sleeps up to 5 people (one bunk bedroom), but has no steps inside. All of these cottages have one bathroom with a bath and shower over the bath.
Garden cottages sleeps up to 4 and is all ground floor, with a step from the living room space down to the bedrooms and bathroom area. There is a bathroom with a bath and shower over the bath and toilet. The double bedroom (with superking-sized beds) has an en-suite bathroom with a walk-in shower and toilet. However, many of our doors are limited in width due to the old nature of our properties.
Please don’t hesitate to contact us with any queries on how we can help you with what you need. We like to help where possible.
The cottages do not have a disabled rating as old houses preclude us from setting up the space and sizes required by legislation. If anyone in a wheel chair is interested in staying please ask for sizes and we will do what we can to see if we can make things work for you.
